For the 1990 Indianapolis 500
race, there were a total of eighty Corvette Convertibles at the
Speedway. The breakout was fifty Turquoise Metallic and thirty
Competition Yellow cars, all with black interiors. The actual
Pace car that year was the Chevy Beretta, pictured below with Jim
Perkins from Chevrolet, who was also the Honorary Pace Car driver that
year.

The Corvettes
were used for the usual duties of assignments to Festival Committee
Directors, 500 Festival Parade duties, and Track Staff/VIP
assignments.
