It is our great privilege to announce that
Tom and Karla Wallace have been selected to be our 2008 Honorary Members. Tom is past Corvette Chief Engineer and Vehicle Line Executive (VLE) for performance cars.

During 2008, Tom retired from GM just one month shy of having run the Corvette program for three years. He was only the fourth chief engineer in Corvette's 56-year history.

Tom and his wife Karla are also Pace Car fans, owning one of the 2007 Track Cars used during the race!

During Tom's tenure, the Corvette team finished and launched the ZR1--a supercar laced with racing technology, from its carbon-fiber body panels to composite-material brake discs and its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 rated at 638 hp.

Additionally, not one but two Corvette Pace Car replica editions were produced during his era, 2007 and 2008.
